LPKF Printed Circuit Board Maker

The printed circuit board (PCB) maker is comprised of 6 pieces of equipment that together can process PCB with 1 to 8 layers. The first tool is the ProtoMat S104, this tool uses milling and drilling bits to create designs on the different layers of the PCB. The second tool is the Contac S4, this tool is used to electroplate either copper or tin onto the PCB and in the through-holes. The third tool is the Multipress S4, this tool can combine different layers to create a multilayer PCB (3-8 layers). The next 3 tools (ProMask, UV Exposure, ProtoFlow) work together to create a solder resist for PCBs. These 3 tools apply the solder resist, expose the desired pattern, develop the unexposed resist off, and then harden the exposed resist by baking it (coming soon). Installed Fall 2024.
