Samsung Semiconductor Technology Program

Samsung Austin Semiconductor / SAMSUNG is funding SSTP in order to:

• Enhance the instruction in semiconductor engineering at Illinois

• Recruit outstanding students to ultimately become employees

Samsung also plans to offer summer internships and forgivable loans for tuition.

Eligibility requirements for the SSTP scholarships:

• Undergraduate major in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Industrial and

Enterprise Systems Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Mechanical

Science & Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or Physics

• Expected date of graduation: May 2027 plus or minus six months

• Technical GPA at least 3.0

• Committed to complete the GCOE Minor in Semiconductor Engineering

(Note: The GCOE Minor in Semiconductor Engineering is open to any student

who completes the course requirements for the minor. Being awarded a

scholarship is not required.)

The scholarship committees of the six individual departments will provide input to the SSTP Advisory Committee
